Miscellaneous; An-Lan Bridge

Description:

The original bridge at this site was built around the year 300 and was known as Zhupu bridge. It was replaced during the Song Dynasty with the Pingshi bridge and after this bridge was destroyed it was replaced in 1803 with the current bridge. Originally made of bamboo, wood and granite, An-Lan Bridge crosses the river Minjiang and is the oldest suspension bridge still in use.
